Aquino to administer oaths of office to new Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce officials

President Benigno S. Aquino III will administer the oaths of office to the new officers of the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Incorporated (FFCCCII) in MalacaƱang Monday.

The President will swear-in 29 Board Members, four Chairmen, 79 Vice Chairmen of 16 Working Committees and 22 Regional Directors who were elected during the FFCCCII’s 28th Biennial Convention at the Marriot Hotel last March 25.

The President will also witness the ceremonial turnover of 454 units of two-classroom school buildings that were earlier pledged by the FFCCCII.

The FFCCCII was established on March 29, 1954, as a non-stock, non-profit organization.

Its paramount objectives are: To foster and encourage the development and growth of trade and industry in the Philippines; to cultivate, promote, and enhance friendly relations among members; to cooperate with the Philippine government in the implementation of its national policies, to foster and support the development and growth of economic and other programs that will promote the progress of our nation. Malacanang assures preparations in place on first day of classes

Malacanang assured Sunday that preparations are in place in time for the first day of classes as it expects a smooth opening of the school year 2011-2012 on Monday.

In an interview over government-run radio station dzRB Radyo ng Bayan on Sunday, Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte said that concerned government agencies have taken necessary efforts to ensure the safety of the students going back to their respective schools on June 6.

“Prepared naman po tayo for the first day of classes… ang DepEd po of course is in the lead, ang MMDA din po prepared na po sila doon sa pagbugso po ng traffic dahil dagdag nga po sa volume ng traffic yung pagbalik ng mga bata sa eskwelahan and also yung police unit natin and local government units have also been notified to be on top of the opening of classes bukas”, Valte said.

Valte also called on all other concerned officials to continuously monitor the situation in their respective places to maintain order and the safety of the students not only during the first day of classes but also the rest of the school year.

“Ang panawagan po natin dahil balik-eskwela na po yung mga bata bukas, sa lahat po ng officials concerned, please make sure that the opening of classes goes smoothly… para ma-secure naman po natin ang mga bata and not just for the first day of the school but for the rest of the school year also,” Valte noted.
